🍂My Favorite Fall Go-To Lip Combo 💋

Fall is here to stay, and my favorite part about it is bold but season appropriate makeup! This time, I’m sharing my ultimate fall lip combo using none other than Kylie Cosmetics OG Metal Matte lipsticks in the shades Reign and King K. Kylie has released two newer Metal Matte lippies in the shades Dancer and Kymajesty. Kymajesty has been discontinued, but had a lot of negative feedback due to its lack of pigment. There were also a lot of complaints from customers saying that their lipsticks came poorly packaged or even halfway empty. Dancer was released with the Christmas collection and remains on the site.

Price

Kylies Metal Matte lipsticks will run you $18.00 plus tax. This is a great price point for her demographic. Compared to similar lines like Beauty Bakerie where a single Lip Whip, as they call their liquid lipsticks, will run you $20.00 Kylies price fits right in!

Pros

These Beautiful lipsticks are super opaque and dry down to a semi matte finish. Both have amazing pigment, and do not settle into those pesky fine lines you may have in your lips.

Cons

The cons are small, but need to be mentioned. The lipsticks are advertised as a Metal Matte…which simply is inaccurate at best. These don’t dry down to a completely matte finish which doesn’t bother me, but I know it is something a prospective buyer would like to know. My only other con is the fact its Kylie Jenner. I know a lot of people refuse to support the Jenner/Kardashian family and that is perfectly fine. I’ve also stated before that I will not be purchasing from her again as I feel like she doesn’t really listen to her fan base and customers and that’s just not a person I want to give my hard earned money to.

These liquid lipsticks together create the perfect bold, but Autumn appropriate, ombre` lip!

What is your favorite go to lippie for the Fall? let me know in the comments!

August Favorites

Can you believe it’s that time again! Goodbye August and hello September! Today I’m sharing my August favorites including beauty, music, and lifestyle! Let’s hop in!

Beauty

Freeman Anti-Stress Clay Mask ($9.75)

http://amzn.to/2viElIN

This has been my absolute favorite mask to use to clear my skin and prepare my skin for the week ahead. I’ve noticed fewer breakouts and my skin is baby soft after I rinse it off.

PraySlayHustle Drink it up Facial Oil ($12.00)

I’ve been using this Drink It Up Facial Oil for over a month now and I cannot put it down! It’s the perfect amount of moisture for my skin without me looking like an oil slick. And the best part? This oil is made by a black owned business and is super affordable!

Amuse Cosmetics Eyebrow Pencil ($6.98)

http://amzn.to/2vAOX8g

I’ve been loving this eyebrow pencil for more natural brow days! My pencil is in the shade Dark Coffee . No makeup makeup has never been more simple! This product stays matte all day and will not budge!

Music

http://amzn.to/2um3oNJ

I used to have a very diverse taste in music. So when I ran across Lana Del Rey I was instantly drawn in. Her soft soothing voice and lyrics have a sound and tone for everyone. Her recent album, Lust for Life is an everyday staple. From the time I wake up, to the time I go to sleep if I have my earphones in 9/10 I’m listening to this amazing artist!

Lifestyle

Yoga

Yoga with Adriene

This month I began a 30 days of yoga program on YouTube from HOME. Its changed so much. I’m more energized after I’m done, so I’m able to get so much more done everyday! Yoga with Adriene has been an amazing program and I love waking up early every morning and completing the yoga program for the day.

Bullet Journal

My bullet journal has grown to be my best friend. I love having everything written down and organized in my journal. Bullet journaling is perfect because it gives you the opportunity to customize your layouts to what you need as opposed to the journals that already have sections in them.

Jay Manuel Beauty Lip + Eye pencil in Wicked| Review

Welcome back to my corner of the internet! Today I’m reviewing the eye and lip pencil by Jay Manuel Beauty! I got this product as a free sample from an app called Plum. I haven’t used it until more recently when I created a makeup look, where I used the pencil smudged along my lashline!

Price

As I got this product free, I’t was for sure in the correct price point haha! But seriously, this pencil retails at $20.00 on the Jay Manuel website. The pricing is more of a high end product so I suppose the price point is pretty good.

Pigment

I haven’t come across a black eyeliner PENCIL this pigmented! It definitely took me by surprise when I swatched it. Using this pencil on your waterline for a smokey look would be perfect!

As you can see here I used the pencil on my upper and lower lashline and smudged it out using a small smudger brush from Morphe.

The product blended perfectly, and was super dark and perfect as a base for darker shadows.

Overall Thoughts? Would I Purchase?

Overall I LOVE this eyeliner! I don’t grab for pencil eyeliners often as i’m addicted to gel and liquid liners, but this pencil has for sure changed that! Its very creamy and easy to blend and doesn’t run in the waterline. This is the perfect pencil eyeliner!

Have you tried the Jay Manuel cosmetics line? Your thoughts on this liner?

Till next time,

XOXO Lynn

Hello July! June Goals:Hit or Miss?

Happy July!

I absolutely can’t believe that June went by so fast! Today I’m showing you what my June Goals were and letting you know if I hit or Missed them! Setting goals as a blogger, youtuber and business owner helps me keep track of how much I’ve grown or gotten better over time.

Well, here are my June Goals!

  1. Reach 1,500 followers on Twitter
  2. 830 followers on Instagram
  3. Stick to blog and YouTube schedule
  4. Make a cleaning schedule

Reason For My Goals?

Twitter and Instagram

Since starting my blog, have built up my following and engagement so I can better connect with my readers. I love talking to you all VIA Twitter or seeing what you all have been up to VIA Instagram. I have discovered that it is super hard to be active on 3+ social media accounts at one time. Being active on Twitter and Instagram connects me to some amazing bloggers and YouTubers. Which has inspired me and my content as well.

Content Scheduling

As far as my blog and YouTube schedule it’s been a dream. Pre-Filming and writing out posts and drafting them is the easiest way to get things done! In the past I was writing out posts the day of and posting and editing the same day. Being able to have time in between my content uploading on Mondays and Fridays has helped me have better quality as I can take more time to see what I’d like to better.

Cleaning Schedule

If you don’t know, I am a stay at home mother of two very active children. Trying to start not one…but TWO brands while keeping up with house work has been exhausting! Although, things have been a lot easier now that my oldest is on summer break there is always something to do. A schedule makes it easier to see what needs to be done and when.

How Did I Do?

  1. 1,500 followers on Twitter |HIT
  2. 830 followers on Instagram |MISS
  3. Stick to blog and YouTube schedule | HIT
  4. Make cleaning schedule | HIT
